Big and Shiny Love - NICK + KELLI

A couple days before their wedding, i met with Nick and Kelli in the lobby at the Coral Sands Hotel, here on Harbour Island. They were funny and laid back, and bubbling over with a funny story of getting lost in the bushes on the way to dinner the night before. Having an 18 member wedding party can be bit worrisome, but not for them. They assured me that they had all been through this process at some point, so they were just out to have some fun. And they did not disappoint.! The day of the wedding, i stopped in first to get some shots of Nick and his Groomsmen. One of whom doubled as the officiant. I felt like i had walked into the dressing room of  an extra large boy band. Seriously, ten ridiculously handsome men with names like Corey and Brandon.......and Kourtney! What''s a girl to do. So much fun!

The rest afternoon went off without a hitch. Tears and laughter and some very fun, silly shots from the group. The beautiful pink and purple hues of the the evenings afterglow made for beautiful portraits, but was no match for the big shiny love between this adorable couple.

After nine years of dating and living together with their beloved golden retriever Roscoe, Nick finally popped the question to Kelli with a surprise proposal in their home last summer. After one long day at the office, Kelli arrived at home to find Roscoe greeting her at the top of the staircase with a sign around his neck that directed Kelli to meet Nick on the roof of their house. With a bottle of champagne and a nervous Nick down on one knee, Kelli agreed to marry him and the rest is history. They live in Venice, CA and after months of research finally decided to head East to get hitched in The Bahamas. With 60 guests from all over the world in attendance, they said 'I DO' on May 4, 2013 on the pink sand beach in Harbour Island.
